Our Story

Escondido Overhead Door (EOD) was one of the most prominent garage door and installation companies throughout the 70's, 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. Their location on Mission Road in Escondido was a landmark and the Escondido Overhead Door name was legendary in the building industry as THE garage door company of choice throughout Southern California. Eventually the owners decided to retire and close that chapter in our history to make way for the next generation.

In early 2004 Escondido Overhead Garage Doors (EOGD) was born and the family tradition continued. Many of the same employees that helped craft EOD's success were now part of the new EOGD. In fact, EOGD operated from the very same location on Mission Road in Escondido for a few years prior to moving to our current location on Commercial Street in Escondido.

Just a stone's trow away from where it all started, Escondido Overhead Garage Doors continues to provide sales, installation, and service of residential and light commercial garage doors and openers. Our service area covers all areas of San Diego County and spans from the US/Mexico Border to Southern Riverside County including the cities of Lake Elsinore, Hemet, Murrieta, and Temecula. We also service Southern Orange County including San Clemente, Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, and Laguna Niguel.

We are fully licensed and insured. We use only our own full time employees, all of which complete a full criminal background check prior to becoming employed by EOGD. These background checks are renewed on an annual basis to ensure that all employees are in compliance with company standards.
